Meet Lauren
Lauren Nichole Farano, RDH
Title: Advanced Periodontal Therapist and Aesthetic Hygienist

Describe your passion for dental health. What drives you?
My passion for dentistry began at the age of thirteen when I received an emergency root canal. Dental neglect as a child was what drove, motivated, and inspired me to learn and do more.

What is your background in dentistry?
I started as a certified dental assistant, working chair-side and administrative, and quickly advanced to office manager of a practice. During this time, I fulfilled my licensure as a registered dental hygienist (RDH) in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. In all, I bring 22 years of experience in the field, with 12 of those years exclusive to periodontal therapy. I am passionate about helping patients to restore their periodontal health, functionality, and overall well-being.

What do you do for the patients at AICD to make their visits successful and comfortable?
I have always been a caregiver and empathic, so bringing that energy to dentistry is what makes makes it easy to care for my patients. It is my true passion and purpose to educate and help people in any way that I can, especially with their dental health.

I treat my patients like family and always go the extra mile to ensure they are happy, healthy, and that they understand how to maintain good habits. Making every patient my priority is my main concern.

What is your favorite healthy habit?
Staying socially connected. Meaningful connections with loved ones are crucial to keep. They help maintain your overall well being, reduce stress, and positively impact your mental health.

Being a working mother and raising a child is not easy and many people tend to lose their identity, so I make sure to have my time with my friends, as well as my time as mommy so that I never lose who I am.

Tell us more about your tagline, "Your Smile is Your Logo"
People usually see your smile first, and this creates their initial impression of you. Think of it as your business card. Your personality backs up that impression. It’s what people will always remember about you, so it’s best to have healthy teeth and gums so you can smile more often. They say When you look good, you feel good, and this is true. More people are apt to do business and work with friendly, happy people.

What are your favorite pursuits out of the office?
Outside of dentistry, you can find me spending time with my son, family and friends, singing and dancing to a favorite tune or traveling to a new place. I love to experience the world and see different cultures so I have an even better understanding of life and can incorporate that into serving my patients. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our practice!

Describe your reaction to seeing your name on the practice's marquee when you stepped off the elevator on the fourth floor!
Well this was just fabulous! I felt truly honored to be recognized as a leading provider in the practice. Of course I had to take pictures next to it and share it with my friends and family. This was so beyond meaningful to me. I feel truly blessed to be a part of an amazing team and have the love and respect from the doctors and staff.
